LinkedIn invitation limit calculator
LinkedIn does not publish a weekly number. Here is what it does say, the caps Looply uses, and a calculator that turns your invitations into accepts, replies and meetings.
Starting assumptions are placeholders, not benchmarks: replace them with your own numbers. Our campaign rates come from one of our own LinkedIn campaigns, run outside Looply in October 2026: 572 invited, 339 accepted (59%), 133 replied (39% of accepted). One campaign is not a forecast.
A steady month at this pace
About 8 weeks to 10 meetings at this pace.
Week by week
| Week | Invitations | Accepted | Replies | Meetings |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 100 | 30 | 5 | 1.3 |
| 2 | 100 | 30 | 5 | 1.3 |
| 3 | 100 | 30 | 5 | 1.3 |
| 4 | 100 | 30 | 5 | 1.3 |
| 5 | 100 | 30 | 5 | 1.3 |
| 6 | 100 | 30 | 5 | 1.3 |
| 7 | 100 | 30 | 5 | 1.3 |
| 8 | 100 | 30 | 5 | 1.3 |
Better rates start with better people to invite. Looply picks people with a visible reason to talk now and keeps each account under safe daily and weekly caps.
Find my prospects freeWhat LinkedIn says about invitation limits
LinkedIn’s help page on invitation limits says:
- Every member is subject to invitation limits, including Basic (free) and Premium accounts.
- If you reach the limit, you may be temporarily restricted from sending invitations. This typically lasts one week.
- Withdrawing pending invitations does not remove the restriction, and you cannot buy more invitations while restricted.
- LinkedIn cannot shorten the wait, and Support will not say why the restriction happened.
- LinkedIn recommends inviting only people you know and trust, and sending fewer, more thoughtful invitations.
What it does not say is a number. LinkedIn publishes no weekly figure, so treat any number you read, including ours, as a tool’s choice rather than LinkedIn’s rule.
The caps Looply uses, and why
Because LinkedIn publishes no number, Looply sets its own caps for every connected LinkedIn account:
- At most 20 invitations a day and 100 a week per account. You can set lower caps. Messages default to 30 a day, adjustable up to 50.
- A 3-week warm-up for new accounts: 5, 10, 15 invitations a day (25, 50, 75 a week) before the full caps apply.
Turn on “New accounts” in the calculator to see what the warm-up does to your first month. A slower start costs a few dozen invitations; a restricted account costs a week.
Caps lower the risk of a restriction; they cannot remove it. LinkedIn runs its own reviews, and its User Agreement does not permit third-party software that automates activity on its website. That covers every automation tool, Looply included.
Get more from fewer invitations
- Invite people with a reason to talk now: a new role, a funding round, a post about the problem you solve. They accept more often than a cold list.
- Spend notes where they matter. A free account can add a note to only a few invitations a month (LinkedIn’s newest help page says three; older pages say five), and each note is capped at 200 characters. Check yours with the LinkedIn character counter.
- Do not pitch in the invitation. Connect first, then send one short message that names the reason you reached out.
- Measure each list. Track accepted and replied per list and signal, keep what works, and drop the rest.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
How many LinkedIn invitations can I send per week?
LinkedIn does not publish a number. Its help page says every member, free or Premium, is subject to invitation limits, and that reaching the limit can block you from sending invitations for a while. Any weekly number you read elsewhere, including Looply’s cap, is a choice made by a tool or an author, not LinkedIn’s rule.
When does the LinkedIn weekly invitation limit reset?
LinkedIn does not publish a reset day. If you reach the limit, LinkedIn says the restriction typically lasts one week, and that it cannot remove or shorten the wait.
Does LinkedIn Premium raise the invitation limit?
LinkedIn says Premium members are subject to invitation limits too. What Premium changes is the note: Premium members can add a personalized note, up to 300 characters, to every invitation.
Will withdrawing pending invitations lift a restriction?
No. LinkedIn’s help page says withdrawing pending invitations does not remove the restriction.
Are the calculator’s starting rates benchmarks?
No. They are placeholders so the calculator shows something. The campaign rates come from one of our own LinkedIn campaigns, run outside Looply; one campaign is not a forecast. Use your own measured rates.
Is anything I enter stored?
No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser.

Know who to invite this week
Looply finds people showing buying signals, such as a new role, a funding round or engagement with a competitor, scores them against your ideal customer profile and drafts the LinkedIn message and the email for you to review.
